Plastic injection tooling type-US SPI standard

SPI 101 plastic injection tooling (Long-term production of precision mold, mold life is 1,000,000 shots or above)

Plastic injection tooling base steel hardness  280BHN minimum(DME #2 steel/ 4140 steel)
Molded plastic product steel have to be heattreated 48-52HRC, the other mold steel such as slider and slider gib have to be through hardness steel.
Ejector guide pin
Through hardness slider wear plate
If there is dimond, temperature control system on top and bottom mold.
Suggest to nickel plate all of cooling line or use P20 for injection mold plate which has the cooling line.
Side lock or tapper lock

In IMOULDTECH  for SPI 102 mold, our deafult quotation include ejector guide pin, slider wear plate, but without nickel plate for cooling line and plate for core and cavity.

SPI 103 plastic injection tooling (Mass production mold, mold life is less than 500,000 shots)

All of mold plate to be 165BHN minimum(DME #1 steel / 1040 steel)
Core, cavity and slider are P20 steel (28-32HRC) or the other high hard steel(36-38HRC)
The other will be refer to customers’ request.
In IMOULD TECH, SPI 103 mold also include ejector guide  pin, slider wear plate, sider lock or tapper lock
